Ashland Mystery had a wonderful long run hosting dozens of nationally recognized, New York Times bestselling authors. Authors came for mystery and stayed for a Shakespeare, most arriving on Friday with a signing that evening at Bookwagon, our primary sponsor, followed by dinner in downtown Ashland thanks to Alex and Danielle Amarotico.

Saturday morning, the rvtv Noir crew assembled at the Rogue Valley Community Television studios where we filmed a half hour show with a rotating set of hosts, notably Maryann Mason and Ed Battistella and others, and a reading by the author. rvtv Noir aired in Southern Oregon on local community access television and was also broadcast on the web.

Saturday afternoons, the authors rested up or went out on the town, walking the Plaza, hiking in Lithia Park or wandering farther afield. That night was special, always choice seats at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival.

Often local mystery fans would join the author for a Sunday morning brunch before sending the author on the way home.

As time and circumstances allowed, Ashland Mystery organized signings the length of I5 from Redding, California to Eugene, Oregon and in Klamath Falls.
